I attended the University of Iowa until 2010 when I earned my BA in Interdepartmental Studies with an emphasis in Health Coaching. In 2017 I received my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I first became certified in Personal Training through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 2012, and since then have received certifications in Functional Movement, and Fitness Nutrition through the same organization. I specialize in strength training and athletic development, but I also enjoy training for weight loss and general fitness for living. I have worked with a wide range of clientele including children as young as 10 years, and adults in their 60s and 70s. I’ve worked with clients who had never been in a weight room, and I’ve also worked with top tier athletes at the collegiate and professional level. Having the opportunities to work with such a diverse group of people has led me to believe that Personal Training is about providing clients with the motivation and knowledge they need to be successful no matter what their goals are. Personal fitness is a continuously evolving aspect of life, and physical needs and abilities change at different stages in life, this is why Personal Training needs to be exactly that; PERSONAL!!
