Aaron Schultz, MS., Performance Coach – The Florida Institute of Performance

Aaron graduated from Indiana University in 2011, with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching. He was a three-sport athlete in high school, playing soccer, basketball, and track and field. After missing the cut to continue his soccer career in college, he was inspired to pursue a career in training athletes to reach their full potential.

Aaron began his Sports Performance career in 2011 at a sports training facility in Columbus, Indiana, with an emphasis in linear speed and multidirectional movement training. He gained valuable experience working with athletes in a variety of sports and ability levels. After two years of training, he was ready for a new challenge, and decided to continue his education. Aaron returned to Indiana University in the fall of 2014, earning his Master’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Applied Sport Science.

During his time at Indiana, he completed an internship at the IU Health Sports Performance Center, further diversifying his background and skillset in sports performance training. In addition to his undergraduate and graduate work, Aaron spent several seasons as the head sprints coach for both middle school and high school track and field teams, coaching several athletes to conference-winning performances. He also spent one season as an assistant soccer coach at Bloomington North High School, helping coach the team to a state semi-final appearance.

Upon finishing his Master’s degree, Aaron began his post-graduate internship with the Florida Institute of Performance. After a year of learning, training youth through professional athletes, and further diversifying his coaching skillset, he moved to Orlando to bring FIP training to the David Leadbetter Golf Academy at ChampionsGate, where he now leads the Performance division of the Academy. He is excited to represent the Florida Institute of Performance at the Academy, and in the Orlando area.

Aaron is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and currently lives in Orlando, Florida. He still enjoys playing soccer and basketball recreationally, and is an avid sports fan. He continues to have a strong passion for helping athletes maximize their potential and fulfill their athletic goals.
